Manteo bedroomThe Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel and Villas is most loved for its view, cozy beach, and location by Okanagan Lake.  This 4-1/2 star Canada Select hotel is deemed exceptional in all facilities, service and amenities; and is a Four Keys Green Hotel.

Family facilities include a check-in for kids, kids’ pool, waterslide, spray park, putting greens, and playgrounds.  There is an indoor pool, pool table, fireside library, private theatre, games and a barbeque pit.

The hotel’s award-winning Wild Apple Restaurant & Lounge permits waterfront sunsets, a lounge and outdoor patio.  Its cuisine is by Canada’s best, Chef Bernard Casavant from BC Restaurants Hall of Fame.

The hotel is minutes away from golf courses and award-winning estate wineries; and just one hour from powder skiing at Big White and Silver Star.

Manteo beachOther amenities are saunas and steam rooms, gym, spa services, boat riding, a tennis court, private beach, water sports, guest barbeque facilities, boardwalk barbeque, free parking, bellman, concierge, free Globe and Mail.

Guest Rooms:

Deluxe Guestrooms have either one king bed or two queen beds, a private balcony, a business desk, complimentary wireless internet, and wheelchair accessibility.

Manteo boatsThe one-bedroom suite is also sizeable with a beautiful view, a living room that includes a table and four chairs, CD, DVD player and mp3 capable stereo, and a fully stocked kitchen.

A review of the two-bedroom beachfront villa noted it is “worth the extra cost” for its lakeside patio, spacious living room and kitchen; king room with a deck, and bathroom toiletries.

Function Rooms:

Manteo has waterfront meeting rooms and boardrooms, plus three conference rooms for up to 200. The Hotel Eldorado Kelowna is a boutique hotel that is well situated along Lake Okanagan and is most notable for the lovely view afforded of the lake.  This hotel is completely non smoking.  Independent reviews also laud its charm and historicity, as this hotel dates back to 1926.  It has since been fully restored with a new wing of 30 guestrooms and six luxury suites added.  Amenities include an indoor poor, fitness center, spa services, Jacuzzi, steam room and an indoor swimming pool.  Other facilities include high speed internet, wireless internet and computer access.

ELDORADOROOMActivities include the Eldorado Marina with boat and seadoo rentals, boot moorange, water skiing lessons, nearby “Mission Greenway” walking/running trails and wine tours.

Dining outlets include:  Their award-winning Lakeside Kelowna Dining Room with Executive Chef, Jeremy Luypen.  Dishes make use of Okanagan’s seasonal and organic local products, AAA Angus beef selections, chops, seafood and an award-winning wine list of some 150 labels.  Another restaurant is The Bar at the El, favored by locals and hotel guests alike.  For casual dining, famous martinis including the World Famous Eldorado Crantini, and specialty coffee selections.  A third choice is The Boardwalk, commonly voted Best Patio of all Kelowna Restaurants, overlooks Okanagan Lake and serving food and authentic, traditional beverages.  Finally there is Sunday Brunch, many times voted the Best Brunch in the Okanagan, with an omelette and crepe station, Alaskan King Crab, salmon, shrimp, desserts, fruit, and more. The El Dorado is three minutes from a huge H2O aquatic centre with 50 m pool and other types of pools.  It is steps away from sunny beaches and great golf courses.

Guest Rooms:

There are three room options at the El Dorado.  The Heritage Rooms feature old world charm with modern comfort, showcasing antiques and Okanagan memorabilia.  Each guestroom has its own character and motif such as claw footed tubs, vintage radios, and a beautiful lake view.  Balconies are on select second and third floor rooms.  Second is the Arms Guestrooms, 30 of them, and third are six Arms Lakeview Luxury Suites.  All these are in the new wing.  Cork flooring, custom woodwork, posh furnishings, duvets, DVD players, deluxe washrooms and 8 ft floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook Okanagan Lake are some amenities of select guestrooms.  The suites have jetted-Jacuzzi tubs overlooking Okanagan Lake, 42″ Sony LCD TVs, jetted body spray showers, fireplaces and mini kitchens (fridges, microwaves, dishwashers and toasters) in these 620 sq. ft units.

For meetings and conferences, El Dorado has 3,350 square feet of space to accommodate a maximum 130 people.  These comprise five meeting rooms, the Sunroom for large receptions, presentations, business meetings, group dinners, weddings, and private parties, a Boardroom, a Boardroom Patio Tent, and Southern Exposure.  The mountain views and a lake view are well appreciated backdrops.
